On June 12, Sichuan University – Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) held a warm and engaging alumni-themed graduation event for the Class of 2026 at Jiang’an South Campus. As they prepared to bid farewell to the university, the graduating students gathered together to renew their friendships, complete their alumni registration, and receive exclusive alumni souvenirs.

The graduates assembled in the Institute’s multi-functional hall, where they wrote their heartfelt wishes and aspirations for the future on a whiteboard. During the event, attendees looked back on heartwarming moments from previous SCUPI Alumni Association activities. They also had the opportunity to engage with classmates, including those who had returned from dual-degree programs abroad, exchanging insights on further studies, career paths, and future aspirations.

To foster interaction, the event featured a board game, refreshments, and a photo booth area. Students reminisced about their time at SCUPI while capturing memorable moments with friends. Toward the end of the event, a lucky draw was held, with winners receiving exquisite souvenirs prepared by the Alumni Association. Additionally, an alumni survey was distributed, and graduates were encouraged to join local alumni networks to maintain close ties with the Institute and fellow alumni after graduation.

The graduating students expressed that their time at SCUPI had been an unforgettable chapter in their lives. Learning and growing alongside dedicated faculty members and supportive peers broadened their perspectives, enriched their experiences, and left them with lasting memories of their university years.

As both witnesses to the Institute’s development and key contributors to its future, alumni play an essential role in SCUPI’s ongoing journey. The annual graduation event is not only a fruitful gathering but also a bridge that sustains alumni connections. Starting from SCUPI, alumni venture out into the world, with the Institute always remaining a warm harbor for them. After graduation, the Institute will continue to engage alumni across the globe by sharing institutional updates, academic opportunities,  and career resources, fostering long-term connections and collaboration among alumni and between alumni and the Institute.
